You have to realize that “winning” money from a casino is a Herculean heavy lift. I am a veteran of about twenty weeks of vacation in vegas and innumerable “free” hotel visits to AC. In all my trips, I would say without written records that I have only had five or so “winning” trips (i.e., my definition is arriving home with more money than I left with).
Having said that, there are times, when in the short run, you can take some money away. But, you have to be very skillful. It’s way to easy to “revert to the mean” (i.e., lose it all back).

Thousands of websites are giving their opinions on what the best poker rooms are. Almost every poker or gambling related website includes a poker room reviews section. But can these reviews actually be trusted?
The answer is no, most of the reviews aren’t genuine. Where there’s money there’s corruption, and there’s a lot of money in the online poker industry. Even the largest poker sites ranking high in search engines will adjust their reviews based on how much a particular poker room is paying them

Whilst staying at a very nice hotel in Kiev, Ukraine, I discovered that on the top floor was a casino. Being one that usually does not gamble (unless a small flutter on a football game may make it more interesting), I thought that this time I would make an evening of it.
I probably started with about $100 and worked up to a nice $1000 within about 4 hours, but it was the service provided that kept me there. They provided free drinks, free food, you could still smoke at the tables! Those were the days! The obvious intention of the casino was to keep me there, keep me playing until they had left me out of pocket, I was very lucky and decided to walk once I had a nice pile of chips that looked like something out of the Bond movies.
